Periodically, we dye fiber! Here are the bases we are stocking this summer:
Combed Top, like its name suggests, has been combed in an additional step to remove short fibers and tangles resulting in a wonderful smooth preparation that will yield a smooth and lump-free spinning experience.
(none of these are superwash)
50/50 Merino/ black Tencel
BFL (Blue Faced Leicester wool)
80/10/10 American Targhee wool/ bamboo/ tussah silk
50/50 Yak/ Merino
60/40 Polwarth/ tussah silk
Roving is a bit more rustic than Combed Top, with more textural variety. It will spin up to a loftier yarn with more uniqueness... perhaps a bit rustic feel!
Rambouillet Roving, breed specific wool from ranches in Wyoming! Grey overdyed for great depth of color. Squishy, airy, soft, rustic.
Cormo Roving, breed specific wool from ranches in Wyoming! One of our favorite breeds for super soft yarn.
